Vegan Marble with Vanilla and Chocolate

INGREDIENTS

Marble :
  • 20 g of cornstarch
  • 180 g of sugar
  • 330 g of flour
  • 200 g of vegetable margarine
  • 190 g of vegetable milk
  • Vanilla extract
  • 25 g of vegetable liquid cream
  • 20 g unsweetened cocoa
  • 160 g of soya yogurt
  • 30 g dark rum (optional, otherwise add 20 g more vegetable milk)
  • 1 sachet of baking powder
  • A pinch of salt


Icing :

  • 100 g dark chocolate
  • 50 g of vegetable liquid cream

 

PREPARATION

  1. Preheat your oven to 392 °F (200°C)
  2. In a bowl, mix the sugar and margarine. Add the vegetable yogurt, milk, liquid cream and rum. Mix again.
  3. Add the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, a pinch of salt and mix well.
  4. Divide the preparation in half. In one bowl, add the vanilla and in the other the cocoa.
  5. Grease your mold and distribute the dough by layer, alternating colors.
  6. Bake for 10 minutes at 392 °F (200°C) then lower the temperature to 356 °F (180°C) and continue cooking for 40 to 50 minutes.
  7. Let cool on a rack
  8. For the icing, melt the chocolate with the liquid cream.
  9. Cover the cake well cooled and smooth with a spatula
  10. Enjoy !!
