Save this and give it a try! I promise they won’t disappoint
INGREDIENTS
250 gr milk
500 gr flour
2 eggs
10 gr active dry yeast
1 packet vanilla sugar
50 gr granulated sugar
1 pinch of salt
80 gr butter
METHOD
In the bowl of a stand mixer, add the milk and yeast with 1 teaspoon of sugar. Mix for 2 minutes on speed 2 / 37°C to activate the yeast. At the end of the specified time, add the flour, sugar, salt, orange blossom water, and eggs. Switch to the kneading mode and knead for 5 minutes.
Then add the butter in pieces and knead again for 5 minutes. At the end of this step, you will obtain a nice elastic and very sticky dough, which is normal. Transfer the dough to an oiled bowl and let it rise until it doubles in size.
On a floured work surface, divide the dough into 12 equal small balls. Place them on parchment paper and slightly flatten them to about 2 cm thickness. Using a cookie cutter, make a small hole in the center. Then cut the parchment paper to separate the donuts. Let them rest again for 30 minutes.
Heat your oil in a frying pan, then fry your donuts until they are golden brown. Place them on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
You can simply dust them with sugar or add your choice of toppings!
